Description
First established as part of the GSM specification in 1990s, the Short Message Service (SMS), provides mobile users with the facility to send and receive short (up to 160 characters) alphanumeric messages, and initially took off as a quick means of communicating and a way around more expensive voice calls. It has since seen tremendous growth, the GSM Association has reported that the monthly global volume of Short Message traffic is growing exponentially - set to soar to 100 billion by 2004.

Malaysia has also seen a phenomenal growth of SMS usage, with the total SMS traffic hitting 3.61 billion in 2003. SMS is no longer a novelty, it is a way of life. With more than 9 million mobile phone subscribers (and a penetration rate of more than 40 of the population) coupled with the proliferation of mobile devices, we see the time is right to introduce SMS as the next generation of business communication. There are many forms of SMS application, and we are only offering SMS broadcast which our clients can use this service to braodcast its marketing messages and activities to potential prospects via SMS.
